It is always best to consult your GP before going ahead with any treatment and we advise you to do so. As EVLA is a relatively new treatment you may want to take some information with you when you see your GP. Print out this letter and give it to your GP, it will help your GP to assess the type of treatment you are considering.
If you are a self-funding patient (paying for your own treatment) it is not mandatory that you seek the advice of your GP, but we would strongly recommend that you do so.
If you are covered by private medical insurance it is essential that you are referred by your GP. We will not be able to undertake any treatment unless you do this first.
Once you have done this you can call us to make an appointment for an initial consultation so that we can assess your veins and advise on the type of treatment that would best suit you.
Your initial consultation will be with a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and will include a detailed examination and duplex ultrasound scan.
To make an appointment for your initial consultation please call 0800 634 4696 today, the call is free and without any obligation.
